Decorative & Architectural Plaster Finishes

Decorative & Architectural Plaster Finishes

Walls with depth, not just color.

Hand-applied Venetian plaster, Roman Clay and Marmorino for modern homes across Pacific Palisades and the Los Angeles Westside — warm, natural, and built to catch the light.

Beyond Standard Paint

Hand troweled, one wall at a time.

Decorative plaster is applied by hand in thin, layered coats, then burnished, floated or left raw — a process that gives every wall genuine depth, movement and character that paint can’t replicate. Where paint sits flat, plaster catches light differently across a room, shifts tone through the day, and reads as a natural material rather than a coating. For Los Angeles homeowners, designers and builders working in a modern architectural style, it’s the difference between a wall that’s finished and a wall that’s considered.
01 — Venetian Plaster

Venetian Plaster in Los Angeles

Our Venetian plaster is applied in thin burnished layers of lime and marble dust, built up by hand until the surface takes on the soft luminosity of natural stone. We finish it the way modern Los Angeles interiors call for — warm whites and quiet greige tones, low sheen rather than high gloss, with subtle trowel movement instead of the heavy veining and gold tones often associated with older Tuscan-style plaster. It’s a finish designers are increasingly specifying for entries, powder rooms and feature walls across Pacific Palisades and the surrounding Westside.
02 — Roman Clay

Roman Clay Los Angeles

Roman Clay is a softer, more matte alternative to a traditional polished plaster — applied with a wide trowel and left with gentle, cloud-like movement rather than a burnished shine. It reads as calm and organic, which is why it’s become a favorite for fireplace surrounds, great room feature walls and primary bedrooms in the kind of warm, minimal interiors common throughout Pacific Palisades, Brentwood and Santa Monica. We tint every batch toward natural beige and limestone tones rather than the deeper terracotta shades some manufacturers default to.
03 — Marmorino

Marmorino Plaster

Made from slaked lime and marble aggregate, Marmorino plaster has a slightly finer, more textured hand than Venetian plaster — closer in appearance to honed natural stone. Because it’s breathable and moisture-resistant, it performs well in showers, powder rooms and steam-prone spaces, in addition to living areas and stairways. We finish Marmorino in soft satin rather than high polish, letting the natural stone-like variation carry the wall instead of shine.
04 — Natural Mineral / Architectural Plaster Finishes

Natural Mineral Plaster Finishes

Beyond Venetian plaster, Roman Clay and Marmorino, we also work in a broader range of natural, mineral-based architectural plaster finishes — lime and marble aggregate blends chosen for a specific texture, tone or architectural moment rather than a named product line. These are breathable, durable, low-VOC surfaces that age the way real stone does, and we tailor the aggregate size, tint and sheen to the room: a coarser, more raw texture for an entry or exterior-facing wall, a finer hand for a ceiling or curved architectural detail. If you have a reference image or a specific material in mind, we can typically match or adapt it.

Before We Trowel a Single Wall

Approve it as a sample first.

Color, texture, movement and sheen all read differently at full scale and under real light. Before any full-room application, we build a physical sample board on site or in our shop so homeowners, designers and builders can see and touch the finish, sign off on it, and adjust if needed — no surprises once we’ve started.

01

Request a sample

Tell us the finish, space and general direction — warmer, cooler, more or less texture — and we'll prepare a board to match.

02

Review in your light

We bring the sample to the room it's for, so you can see color, sheen and movement under your actual lighting conditions.

03

Approve, then apply

Once the sample is signed off by you, your designer or your builder, we schedule the full application to that exact standard.
